Product Description
SIGRATHERM GFG20 Highly Conductive Expanded Graphite Powder by SGL Carbon - 15.3 lb Bag
SIGRATHERM GFG20 is a highly conductive expanded graphite powder made by SGL Carbon, approximate median particle size (D50) 20 µm. It is a powder, not graphite felt, foil, sheet or insulation. SGL describes GFG powders as low-density, large-surface-area, highly conductive powders made from purified natural graphite flakes for enhanced thermal or electrical conductivity.
This listing is for one 15.3 lb bag of new surplus material, sold by the bag and shipped from AFC Materials Group, Inc.'s facility.
END USES (AS PUBLISHED BY SGL CARBON)
Conductive plastics (thermal, electrical and EMI shielding); conductive adhesives and sealants; anti-seize and anti-corrosive lubricants; antistatic floor coverings; and battery applications per SGL's US datasheet. This is standard GFG20, not SIGRACELL GFG20 HP. The wider GFG family is also used in phase change materials, refractory bricks and foundry casting parts; uses such as construction boards and metal casting are assigned to coarser grades, not GFG20. Properties include increased thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, EMI shielding, low density, large specific surface, good dosability/free-flow, self-lubrication and high thermal/chemical/corrosion resistance.
TYPICAL DATA
D50 about 20 µm (laser diffraction). US: tap density 0.11 g/cm3; real density 2.25 g/cm3; BET 30 m2/g; ash <= 3.0%; carbon >= 97.0%; moisture < 0.5%. EU: powder density 120 g/l; carbon > 95%; moisture < 2%. Typical values, not a specification or warranty; confirm from bag label or COA.
